Meet Our Team of Bankruptcy Heroes
William Collins
Partner Attorney
William Collins was a business major at Texas A&M University and worked in the corporate world as an analyst at JCPenney after he graduated. He didn’t like the politics of working for a large company and decided to attend law school because he wanted a defined profession/skill set.
William attended Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He chose Ohio because he wanted to try living in a different state and he was awarded a small scholarship. As he worked his way through law school, William gravitated toward business classes, including Bankruptcy law. In his third year, he attended a seminar where some Bankruptcy practitioners were talking about their practice area. As he was listening, light bulbs started going off in his head. William knew that Bankruptcy law was what he wanted and needed to be doing.
After he graduated law school, William moved back to Texas. While studying for the Bar, he immersed himself in understanding Bankruptcy law here in the Dallas area. He originally opened his own practice in 2009 and filed about 65 cases. In 2014, he joined forces with Greg Arnove and established Collins & Arnove P.C.
Greg Arnove
Partner Attorney
Greg has been practicing bankruptcy law in the DFW area for 29 years. He is board certified in Consumer Bankruptcy law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and by the American Board of Certification. He previously worked as an attorney for the Bankruptcy Court and for Bankruptcy Trustees in both Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 and has handled thousands of bankruptcy cases. He has appeared in all the local bankruptcy Courts, Federal District Courts, and even argued before the Federal Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans.
Greg graduated with honors from The University of Texas School of Law in Austin and got his Bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in San Antonio. Before age caught up with him, Greg was an avid soccer player. Now, when not at work, he enjoys spending time with his son and his very loyal dog.
Greg’s philosophy is to keep the lines of communication open with the client and to advise the client of the options available and the consequences of each option. If you are considering bankruptcy, it is likely that Collins & Arnove has handled cases similar to yours.
Called in initially to ask a few general questions and Christine was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and got me scheduled for a meeting with Mr. Collins within the week. The initial consultation helped me figure out next steps and we were able to get started on the filing process right away. I recommend this law firm to anyone who needs simple answers and support in this process.
